My first day out on the 19th July using manual settings on my "coastline" theme.


This was taken just north of Stonehaven looking towards the golf course.

The settings were :-

focal length - 145mm
exposure - 1/250
aperture - f16
iso - 320

As I was taking some shots of the coastline north of Stonehaven out at sea this bird was spotted on a rock drying its wings

the settings were :-

focal length - 300mm
exposure - 1/350
aperture - f9.5
iso - 280



This is at Dunnottar Castle which is situated just south of Stonehaven. This is where portions of the 1990 film Hamlet starring Mel Gibson and Glenn Close were shot.

The settings were :-

focal length - 18mm
exposure - 1/125
aperture - f11
iso - 200



Another view of Dunnottar Castle. The site has been inhabited since the pictish times (5000BC to 700AD)

The settings were :-

focal length - 18mm
exposure - 1/180
aperture - f11
iso - 200

My last shot of Dunnottar Castle at the end of the visit.

The settings were :-

focal length - 42mm
exposure - 1/750
aperture - f4.5
iso - 200
